I stood all day in the burning sun
with feet shackled to the ground.
I waited 'til the lights went out,
then unlocked my lungs to breathe in.
Scorch the earth around me.
Push back the creeping rot.
Crooked toes strangle this white heart,
then shoot out in search of life...
or whatever is left.
under the watch of mountainous gaze
Acid running through my veins.
Thickened skin - my armor and shield.
On my head rests a spiral of swords
which bears my only child.
I am the green sun on a stalk.
But if I start to shine,
that's when they'll snap my neck.
